Profile: Named for “blue fescue” (festuca glauca), this necklace is inspired by the distincitvely blueish-green blades in the pincushion domes of this ornamental grass. Similarly, turquoise is known throughout the Southwest and beyond for its distinctive color. The natural stone’s history runs deep, with the blueish-green color coming from elements of copper and iron. The name derived from the french « pierre turquoise » around the 13th century, when Persian turquoise was brought to Europe via Turkey.
