Materials: Alternating vintage charms are linked by 5mm brass rolo cable chain, including German ceramic “striped” beads and ivory “club” beads, Czech pressed black glass shiny “diamond” beads, bone white howlite “heart” beads, and handmade gold-plated brass “coin” beads. 57” sautoir length. Profile: One of my favorite childhood memories is playing cards with my brother and cousins through the years. The hours rolled by as we explored a variety of games and tricks inspired what we’d most recently learned between visits at camp or in the cafeteria. My grandparents played “Bridge” while us kiddos played “Egyptian Rummy,” “Go Fish,” and “Crazy Eights.” I took notice of the card back designs early on, finding them just as beautiful as the numbers, symbols, and faces on the fronts.

One of the decks with played with had bold black, white, and golden stripes, and created a mesmerizing show of shuffling before play. The moment I found these 1920’s German striped ceramic beads, I knew a gaming necklace would be in the works as a tribute to the thrill and fun of sharing a game night in good company.
